    Embroidered patches are used to decorate racing uniforms, baseball hats / caps, jackets, shirts, costumes or for use in a man cave / recreation room.  Some race series require patches on uniforms to qualify for contingency awards – often used in conjunction with contingency racing decals.
    Tips in applying iron-on type patches. Material  that the patch is to adhere to needs to be clean. Next, set your iron to cotton setting (no steam). After about 5 minutes for iron to heat, place cloth over the patch and slowly press down on the patch, making sure all the area is ironed on. Press firmly for 30 seconds. Turn garment upside down, & iron the back of the patch for 30 seconds. Allow patch to cool before wearing.
