Vintage Brush Pottery Company Figural Garden Frog

Description

I presume that this hand-decorated art pottery frog is a product of the Brush Pottery Company, a company started in 1925 in Zanesville, Ohio, and closed in 1982.  It measures approximately 2 5/8” in height, 4 ¼” in length and 4” in width and features a green frog with brown and black markings and a cream-colored belly.  It is marked on the base with a holly leaf ink stamp that I was unable to decipher.  Through research, I believe this to be a stamp used by the retailer/distributor not by the pottery company.  This vintage pottery figurine is in very good condition with the exception of some manufacturing flaws and overall crazing.  There are no chips, cracks, discolorations or any evidence of damage.
