Blade Selection in just a few steps Blade Length – Check owner’s manual for details, Blade Width – Use the widest blade possible for straight cuts. Radius cuts, use the following, 1/8" radius = 1/8" blade, 5/16" radius = 3/16" blade 5/8" radius = 1/4" blade, 1-7/16" radius = 3/8" blade,2-5/8” = 1/2" blade Tooth Shape Regular – A conventional tooth used for general purpose sawing, straight or zero rake, Hook – A 10° rake angle for fast cutting of hardwoods, Skip – A 0° rake angle with expanded gullet area, excellent for cutting soft woods. Pitch/Teeth per inch – Choose a coarser pitch if the speed of the cut is most important. Choose a fine pitch if finish is most important.
