Description
Here's sixteen (16) 8-1/2 inch salad or luncheon plates, made by the Duncan & Miller Glass Company of Washington, Pennsylvania. The pattern is called "Teardrop"; it was introduced in 1936 and discontinued in 1955 (about the time Duncan & Miller went out of business). These plates are just about 8-5/8" across. They're all in good shape with no nicks, chips, flakes or fleabites; they all do have some signs of light use (a couple a bit more than others), but nothing that you're going to see or notice unless you're holding them up to a light. Nice serviceable plates, great pattern (one of my favorites), they're good and heavy (about a pound each); I've got way too much of this kind of thing in my life, and these need a new home.
