The life expectancy of smoke alarms is generally 10 years, after which point their sensors can begin to lose sensitivity. How many smoke detectors do I need?
Here we have useful tips for you:
Install a smoke detector in the all way outside every separate bedroom areas, as shown in Figure 1.
Two detectors are required in homes with two bedroom areas as shown in Figure 2.
Install a smoke detector on every floor of a multi-floor home or apartment, as shown in Figure 3.
