Kanthal A-1 is a ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium alloy (FeCrAl alloy) for use at temperatures up to 1400C (2550F). The alloy is characterized high resistivity very good oxidation resistance. This alloy is less susceptible to distortion, growth, increase in resistance when heated than other alloys of position.
This wire is for repair maintenance of electronic ponents.  Typical applications for Kanthal A-1 are: home industrial heaters, diffusion heaters, dishwashers, cooking plates, electric blankets, hair dryers, kerosene-fired appliances, kettles, refrigerators, rice cookers, tumble dryers, washing machines, electrical heating elements in high-temperature furnaces for heat treatment, ceramics, glass, steel, industries.
