Duncan & Miller No 300 Green Glass Columbus Santa Maria Ship Plate
We are pleased to offer this rare green Depression Glass plate manufactured by the Duncan & Miller Glass Company.
We believe it is one in a set as they made a No 300 picturing the "Cutty Sark". D&M also made a covered cigarette box No 19 with the "Santa Maria" boat design.
This plate
features the Christopher Columbus "Santa Maria" in the center. The boat is very detailed down to the stippled crosses on the masts/sails. The Atlantic ocean below looks very rough.
It has a ground bottom typical of D & M wares. It measures 8-3/4" in diameter. It has some slight scratches from use and age; otherwise it is in excellent condition.
Just a hard-to-find piece of vintage Duncan & Miller
nautical glassware that you are sure to want to add to your collection.
