Description
This listing is for a crystal console bowl by the Duncan & Miller Glass Co. It is part of D&M's Line No. 8, with a diamond quilt rim and an unknown bowl cutting. This bowl was produced in the 1930's but no specific dates were given in my reference books. The bowl measures 12 1/4" in diameter and stands 3 1/2" tall. The bowl is in Near Mint* condition, with no chips, flakes, cracks, or fleabites, and the glass is clear with no cloudiness. There are a few straw marks in the bottom of the bowl (see note at end of listing description). The bowl is very heavy, weighing 5 pounds when packed.* I list items with no damage of any type as 'Near Mint' as I hate to say any item that is more than a few years old is 'Mint'. Judge by the description, I list any irregularities or minor damage, so if I say no damage, there is no damage even if I call it near mint!
Note: Elegant and Depression glass commonly contain bubbles, straw marks, inclusions, etc. in the glass, but these are not defects but part of the glass-making process. I try to include glass anomalies in the description when present.
