Our striking Deco shell shaped divided relish is in
Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage.
This color is beautiful.
NOTE:
These relish dishes come with and without the division.  The topaz divided relish is harder to find than the open relish.
Sanibel #130
- (1930s / Early 40s) (crystal, cape cod blue, blue opalescent, pink opalescent, yellow opalescent, some ruby, some crystal frosted, some emerald green)
Sanibel is a striking pattern that was inspired by the numerous and beautiful seashells found on the tiny island of Sanibel.  Named for the island that provided Duncan with their inspiration, this striking pattern was designed to be used with other dinnerware patterns, or they could be displayed prominently throughout the home.  There are  numerous  of serving pieces which include a muffin tray, various sized serving bowls, sweetmeat, mint tray, nappies, relish trays, celery tray, a 14" Hors d' Oeuvre plate, a 13" sandwich plate, a salad plate, vases, floating gardens, a candy jar, and decanter.  Smoking items were also available in this pattern.  Pieces include a 5 1/2" covered cigarette jar, life preserver ash trays, and tropical fish ashtrays.  Most of the smoking items found today are used as containers or pin trays in the bedroom.
Ruby, Deep Emerald Green, and Crystal Frosted covered jars have been found in the Sanibel pattern.  Other pieces may also be made in these colors, but we are not aware of them. © Margaret and Kenn Whitmyer
