his stunning estate item is a candy dish/jar featuring the Duncan & Miller pattern #38 that features a beautiful floral and cane design and unfortunately is not married to the original lid. Nevertheless, the combination of these two pieces is really beautiful and even more elegant -- a real eye catcher!
The pattern of the candy dish/jar is very similar to McKee's innovation pattern. In researching, Duncan & Miller manufactured this piece with a blend of EAPG and American Brilliant Cut Glass processes.  Duncan & Miller had a joint patent with U.S. Glass for the part-pressed and part-cut glass process, which this candy dish/jar exemplifies. Do not know the manufacturer of the lid, but it is also beautiful, fits the candy dish/jar and has design elements that match the candy dish/jar very well.
Measurements: Candy dish/jar height is 6';  Lid is approximately 4"; Total height is approximately 10"; Candy dish/jar diameter is 4 1/4"; Candy dish/jar base diameter is 3 1/4".
Weighs 1.1 lbs 12 oz
It is in excellent vintage condition. No cracks, scratches or chips.  Looks great for being over 100 years old.
Would like to see this go to a collector who appreciates this historic example of American part-pressed/part-cut glass process.
