Collectible Miniature Porcelain Geisha Girl Tea Set 9 pc Red Brocade Fitted Box

Lovely porcelain tea set is probably designed as a show piece rather than as a toy for a child. Covered teapot, six cups without handles and a tray, all in a fitted red brocade box. Typical "Geisha Girl" design with 24kt. gold trim on each piece. Tray measures approximately 5.25" across. Each cup is about 1 .25" high and 1 .75" across the top. The teapot measures approximately 3" high when the lid is in place, and is about 4.5" across from handle to spout tip. The tea set appears to have never been used, but there are 2 small dark spots in one cup that are original to the piece. The box measures 7.75" x 6.25" x 2.75" high. The fitted box however has not been cared for and shows a lot of storage wear. The set would be a wonderful addition to any collection , and on its own makes a great decorative piece.
