Craftsman 12" Band Saw-Ball Bearing Guide -137.224320
Replacement Ball Bearing Guide!
Here is the original aftermarket ball bearing upper guide made specifically for the Sears Craftsman 12” band saws 137.224320 and others. Please:
Examine the
“WILLIT FIT?”
pictures. (We do
NOT
make a guide for
ANY
tilting head or 3 wheel band saw.)
If your original guide looks like that and the dimensions are as shown it will fit. It will improve the accuracy, performance, blade life and provide a smoother running saw. It eliminates the metal on metal wear of guide blocks and the constant need of adjustment in an effort to control the blade. Also there is no scraping on the side of a small back-up ball bearing.
It’s made of steel and will last a lifetime.
All the moving parts are easily replaceable.
The fasteners are grade 8.
The precision ball bearings are lubricated and sealed.
The installation is easy and adjustment is simple.
The upper guide provides the majority of the control
for the blade as it enters the wood. The blade is virtually locked straight ahead. It is easily adjustable to handle blades from 1/8” to ½” in width. Included is a manual for adjusting blade tension, blade tracking, installation and adjusting, etc.
MADE in USA.
NOTICE: When you click
“BUY IT NOW”
you are confirming that you have measured your saw and the measurements and/or appearance match those on the “WILL IT FIT” pictures.
Howard Ray Tool
What is your craft? Our craft is making these guides…to support your passion.
Others offer guides with components made by machines. Probably hundreds of parts at a time…focused on volume.
The Howard Ray Ball Bearing Guide is made completely by hand…probably like whatever you plan to make.
We start with sheet steel, shear it, and hand form each individual blank before we individually, hand weld your guide. Why? Because we are focused on workmanship, not high volume.
